From there I'd have you follow me into the kitchen so I could fix us some hot chocolates. Check out the red rug. Nana made us that as a wedding gift and we just got it into our apartment after it was sadly left behind on our last trip home. It's so beautiful!
Once we had our drinks in hand I'd invite you to take a load off on our cozy little couch. Maybe you'll want to hug one of the Christmas pillows.
As we chatted on the couch we could admire the Christmas tree. My favorite part!
That is our lovely tree that I put together from multiple thrift stores, the dollar store and a tree my dad gave us. I also didn't find a tree skirt I liked so I used a table cloth. Should I not be telling all my secrets? I just have this incredible thrifty yet amazing decorating legacy to uphold. I'm working on it.
Ok the dishes are calling.
Merry Christmas!
I love it! And it's true... you do have a fabulous decorating legacy to uphold. She set the bar high! Love you.
ReplyDeleteAgreed she did set the bar high... but if I do say so myself you are make her proud! I love your decorations your little home looks so warm and cozy! Wish I could sit and sip hot chocolate with you. I love you.
ReplyDeleteVery nice! You have us beat in the Christmas decorations dept. Looking forward to seeing you soon!
ReplyDeleteOh no! I thought I had published a comment on this post already, but it looks like it didn't turn up! I'll try again:
ReplyDeleteI love your Christmas wreath! And I'm so impressed that you decorated--we did not get that far this year. The extent of our Christmas decor consists of cinnamon scented pinecones in a few conspicuous places around the apartment. They smell lovely--highly recommend them (Winco special!)--though your sensitive husband probably wouldn't take too kindly to them.
