Christmas!

I should totally be cleaning up the kitchen after our scruptious dinner (if I do say so myself...homemade chicken pot pie from scratch..mmm) but I couldn't wait to show everyone our Christmas decor we put up a couple days ago.

I love Christmas. And this year I feel an urge to really make this year special. Special because of what we believe we are celebrating: His Birth. Our Savior is Born! How awesome is that?

So if you came to visit us (which we hope you do some time soon), you would first see the wreath I made the other day.

Then as you walked in to our apartment you might see our dining table.

From there I'd have you follow me into the kitchen so I could fix us some hot chocolates. Check out the red rug. Nana made us that as a wedding gift and we just got it into our apartment after it was sadly left behind on our last trip home. It's so beautiful!

Once we had our drinks in hand I'd invite you to take a load off on our cozy little couch. Maybe you'll want to hug one of the Christmas pillows.

As we chatted on the couch we could admire the Christmas tree. My favorite part!

That is our lovely tree that I put together from multiple thrift stores, the dollar store and a tree my dad gave us. I also didn't find a tree skirt I liked so I used a table cloth. Should I not be telling all my secrets? I just have this incredible thrifty yet amazing decorating legacy to uphold. I'm working on it.

Ok the dishes are calling.

Merry Christmas!

BSU vs. Idaho

Hello friends!

So I never wrote about the BSU vs. Idaho game so here's a quick update on that...from our perspective. First of all it was FREEZING. Like I haven't been that cold since my roommate and I stood in line for over an hour at 6 in the morning to listen to Barak Obama speaking in our basketball stadium in January (or was it February) 2008. Bitter cold.

Before the game we pre-funked at our apt. with our friends Crissy and David.

Jason and I had been teasing each other all week about our little (healthy, no doubt) school rivalry. We showed the camera who had bigger muscles. I did, obviously. P.s. I look a little crazed in the photo.

So we walked to the football stadium where Vandals and Broncos were out in full force. Everyone (mostly) was rooting for their team (except that 'cool' guy wearing a USC sweatshirt...totally not cool, guy). The weird part was people were mingling. Blue and orange was mixing with gold and silver. They were sharing tents, food and laughs. They were just people being people, having a good time. If they could do it, so could Jason and I.

So it was a good game. The first half was intruiging and it was obvious that Idaho wasn't going down without some sort of fight.

But I'd have to say that our favorite part of the game was U of I's marching band at half time. Their performance was awesome! It was Thriller and Billie Jean and maybe another Michael Jackson song. There was a part where they did the Thriller dance and walked around like zombies! It was really good. We have a video but it was so windy that it's really hard to hear anything and the camera is pretty shakey. I won't subject you to it.

Oh and there was a point where the Vandals had just painfully earned their second touchdown when the Broncos then ran the ball 108 yards to score their fourth touchdown. It was kind of sad. The Vandals hardly got to enjoy their touchdown before we stole the ball and showed off.

Anyway. It was so cold that after the cool marching band performances, we walked to the Taco Bell Arena to watch the rest of the game indoors in a huge inflatable tv. It wasn't as exciting as being in the stadium but at least we were warm again!

Here's Jason and I looking happy even though we were soooooo cold.

We had a lot of fun and my precious Broncos dominated the whole game. We won. I forgot the score so I looked it up. BSU 63, Idaho 25.

Sorry Idaho. Maybe after Y3K.
